40 Of The Strangest Things Ever Caught On Elevator Cameras

Elevators hide a multitude of sins: if you’re by yourself, you are given a few seconds of alone time to really let loose. Why not bust a move, or finally scratch that awkward itch that’s been bugging you? Alas, it’s often even more uncomfortable when you’re with other people – silently ignoring each other as the floors tick by. What many don’t appear to know, though, is that lifts have hidden cameras. And as you’d imagine, they often capture some pretty bizarre sights. So, here are the 40 weirdest...

40. Love in an elevator

Ah, the art of human communication. Sometimes you can say everything you want without uttering a peep. That’s exactly what happened in this hotel elevator between a man and woman. Just look at their faces! Then, to top it off, she hands him a note that brings out a huge grin. We can only imagine what it said.

39. Major malfunction

Has there ever been a time when you wished that the ground would just swallow you up? Well, we get the feeling that this older gentleman was pining for something similar here. Without warning, the guy next to him starts to attack his own bag and then shows off some weird robotic movements. Maybe he was fighting an invisible foe?

38. You have the right to remain fabulous

Tony Scherb dedicated close to three decades of his life at Colorado’s El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. He finally called it a day in January 2016 – but not before riding an elevator with a hidden camera inside. As the song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” plays in the car, Scherb begins to dance his heart out. And he isn’t alone – a few of his colleagues join in, too. Talk about retiring in style!

37. If I had a hammer...

Hands up if you’ve been trapped in a lift before. It’s pretty scary, right? Then again, this group got very lucky when their car came to a shuddering halt. With no help on the way and a concrete wall blocking their escape, a guy whips out a hammer. Random, but okay. He starts chipping away at the obstacle and creates a gap for someone to climb through to get assistance.
